Steigenberger Hotel Caffe

Located in the historical heart of Giza with commanding views of the old Egyptian Museum, the Steigenberger Hotel Café is a vibrant celebration of cultural fusion and eclectic luxury. The spatial narrative is defined by a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, achieved through expansive, floor-to-ceiling folding glass partitions that draw the bustling energy of the city into the refined interior. The architecture acts as a dynamic canvas for a rich tapestry of textures and eras, where modern structural columns wrapped in vivid, contemporary Arabic calligraphy stand in striking contrast to a magnificent, custom-crafted peacock stained-glass installation. This meticulous layering creates a highly engaged public realm that is both intimately nostalgic and boldly modern. The interior design adheres to a precise, editorial standard, curating a maximalist yet carefully balanced aesthetic. A warm, enveloping palette of deep burgundy and rich woods is illuminated by classic chandeliers and contemporary pendant lighting. The floor plan is anchored by a diverse mix of intricate mosaic tiling and vibrant, oversized Persian rugs, which naturally designate distinct lounge and dining zones furnished with cane-backed chairs, fluted leather banquettes, and marble-topped tables. A dramatic gallery wall—featuring an eclectic mix of vintage portraiture, ornate mirrors, and a sweeping mural of Egyptian heritage—serves as the focal point behind the custom ribbed-wood espresso bar. Every architectural and decorative element is carefully calibrated to offer guests an immersive, culturally resonant hospitality experience.

River Island

River Island for Steigenberger represents a paradigm shift in luxurious floating hospitality, seamlessly merging state-of-the-art nautical architecture with high-end experiential design. Conceived as an exclusive mobile retreat, the vessel features a sleek, contemporary profile defined by expansive floor-to-ceiling glass facades that dissolve the boundary between the opulent interior and the serene river landscape. The exterior upper deck is meticulously programmed for high-end leisure, boasting an open-air lounge, shaded pergolas, and an integrated geometric plunge pool. Every architectural element is precisely calculated to optimize panoramic views while maintaining an atmosphere of tranquil isolation, allowing guests to traverse the waterways in unparalleled comfort and sophisticated style. Inside, the spatial narrative adheres to a rigorous, minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes clean geometry and premium materiality. The open-plan layout effortlessly connects the master suite, a refined living lounge, and a sophisticated dining area, creating a cohesive environment defined by warm natural woods, striking dark marble accents, and soft, neutral textiles. Custom lighting fixtures, contemporary bespoke furniture, and a striking celestial feature wall in the bedroom elevate the space to a true editorial standard. By framing the ever-changing natural vistas through uninterrupted glazing, the interior architecture not only provides a highly refined sanctuary but also positions the surrounding environment as the central focal point of the ultimate guest experience.
