For thousands of years, gemstones have captivated with their color, radiance, and utter exquisiteness. But gemstones are more than what meets the eye. Various cultures believe that these natural treasures have unique powers. In a world where all is energy, crystals hold a special place. They absorb energy to help us clear ourselves of chaotic and uncomfortable energy. They also send energy to us to help us transform our own energy into something more useful. For ancient Egyptians, the rich soil along the Nile river was black and for them, the colour black resembles fertility. It can also refer to the way that life emerges from the dead and the darkness. In the Middle Ages, black ink was the easiest to see and to write with, making it a staple for knowledge and education. Black is also worn by people of power, for example, judges.
