Featured Commission
Masar Masr
Urban · New Capital, Egypt
Strategically located in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) near the Presidential Palace and Gate One, **Masar Misr** is designed as a monumental, transit-oriented civic spine. Benefiting from unrivaled accessibility via the nearby LRT station, this high-profile destination spans an expansive 5-kilometer linear masterplan. The architectural concept is deeply rooted in Egypt's enduring historical timeline, taking visitors on a spatial journey across five distinct themed zones. The urban form progresses sequentially: beginning with Pharaonic-inspired landscaping, transitioning through complex interlocking geometries into a symmetrical Islamic core, evolving into structured Khedival and contemporary blocks, and ultimately culminating in flowing, curvilinear designs that symbolize the future. This highly walkable development is meticulously zoned to integrate education, healthcare, commerce, and luxury hospitality into a cohesive community. The site's diverse programming features a dedicated Medical and University Zone equipped with a 260-bed general hospital and specialized colleges, alongside an independent schools complex and social club. The expansive Commercial and Hospitality Zone boasts active retail facades, a 900-person convention center, and a premium 5-star hotel offering 200 to 220 keys. Tied together by a continuous green promenade featuring water elements, shaded seating, and a dedicated pedestrian passage leading to the Presidential Palace, Masar Misr prioritizes human-scaled design and creates a seamless, immersive urban experience.
